The Fraser family moved to Wilmore, Kentucky, when he was about 10. In late 1998, he got interested in acting as a communication medium while attending the University of Kentucky. Shortly thereafter, he transferred to Asbury College, where he was cast in several on-campus stage productions. In summer of 2001, he booked his first paid role, as the Native American warrior, Redhoof (and understudying Yellow Hawk for 8 shows), in the outdoor amphitheatre drama "Daniel Boone: the Man and the Legend" in Harrodsburg, KY.

Upon graduating in 2002 with a degree in Media Communication with a Film Studies emphasis, he moved to L.A. and continued to pursue acting. Since then, he has appeared in several stage productions and numerous short films. Most notably, he was cast as the lead in the sci-fi comedy short Rumblings "Herd" From the Fourth Dimension, written by Phil Oosterhouse and directed by Jeremy Graham. Finally, just before the 2004 Christmas hiatus, Duncan booked his first TV dayplayer spot on Star Trek: Enterprise as Crewman #2. It's an intense fight scene in scene 28 of episode #93, "Bound"!
